SoA in thrilling encounter |

In pursuit of updating on our battles online here is a small run through of SoA vs Volt Gaming.
In Danish eSport League we encountered Volt Gaming this past Wednesday and what a match it was to be.
Soga was abroad with his school and therefore we had to use our two standins; PyNNE and MoRf4r.
The first map was a nail biter from start to finish. We started out as CT on nuke and normally that is a good place to start out. However, team Karrigan wanted to flip the trivial matter of CT on nuke and he completely annihilated us from start to finish.
SoA 02-13 Volt Gaming
Then sides were turned at it was up to us to prove that we were better than that. The two standins delivered duly and we slowly ate away at their rounds. All of a sudden we were headed for a tie. A comeback of a lifetime it was!

Overtime proved Volt Gaming the stronger team and they secured a first round in B2 where Karrigan yet again was a thorn in the side.
SoA 17-19 Volt Gaming on Nuke
Now came tuscan:
We started CT yet again and that is a perfect place to start on this map. My theory is that the map will be very difficult for the terrorists for some time to come as the map has only recently been brought in to cycle here in Europe.
Well as CT we had an army and especially MoRf4r made life miserable for Volt Gaming. We were up by 12-0 before we gave a round away. Heaps of praise from me to the team for the result in spite of them playing with two standins!

Then sides were changed and little did it help Volt Gaming. Quickly SoA devoured the necessary rounds.
SoA 16-05 Volt Gaming
Now awaited inferno:
This map has proven it self hard to predict in terms of a good CT or T encounter from time to time. The gut feeling was one left with a bit of insecurity due to the fact that two standins were being used.
We started as T for the first time as I recall and that was not the ideal solution for us. Speaking of ideal, Volt Gaming looks a lot like that team and they played VERY well on inferno back in the day.
We snatched the gunround and the very last round. Not the best T-side ever on inferno, but MoRf4rs tremendous last round as T picking out two Volt Gaming players with just 10HP, left me with a bit of hope.
SoA 4-11 Volt Gaming
Hope is a terrible thing! We quickly succumbed to their thrashing attacks and lost the match on the third and final map.
SoA 4-16 Volt Gaming
All in all we are okay pleased with the performance, but naturally we want to win, so the actual result is not very pleasing. However, with having said this, we must stress that with two standins it will either become a boy or a girl, and we all know that we wont the boy, but this time around we got a girl, not half bad though.
